The Color of UI Design
Colors to Include In the Design of Your Website
With less than two weeks since the new year has started, it’s no wonder every web designer and UX designer out there is curious about what colors will win over the hearts of our users. So let’s see which colors to include in the design of your website.
Most of the mediocre design today comes from designers who are faithfully doing as they were taught in school: they worship at the altar of the visual.

More Focus on Single Colors
Here’s something new for 2014: Go for single colors. Simple color schemes will be on trend this year. And while we all love rainbows, just try to limit yourself to no more than 3 colors. Best choice would be one or two colors, at most.
Which Colors to Go For UI Design
Okay, so remember that we are not talking about neutrals here (White, Black, Grey), but actual, real, vivid colors. Here’s what we propose for you this year: Blue, Vivid Orchid, Monotone Colors.

How About Being Bold in Your Web Design Choices?
You can take this as an encouragement. Don’t be afraid to step out of the patterns. As long as you don’t visually harass the users and visitors of your website, you can go for crazy, cool stuff. Be it colors, design, opt-ins and opt-outs, images or content.
Just remember:
The ugly can be beautiful. The pretty, never.
